About Central Iowa ASTD
The Central Iowa Chapter of the American Society for Training and Development is comprised of over 200 members with a governing board of 12 volunteers who lead chapter efforts. Our chapter provides members with a wealth of opportunities to learn and develop within the training profession.
Central Iowa ASTD Chapter has provided a wide range of events over the years to serve the community, specifically targeting training professionals. Our organization impacts professionals at all levels in their career as a Learning and Performance professional. Our partnerships with organizations in the community allow us to bring dynamic speakers like Daniel Pink to Des Moines. These partnerships are not only benefit our organization, they benefit the community. Over the history of our chapter, we have been honored multiple times by National ASTD. These awards include National Chapter of the Month, Share our Success and presenting at the ALC conference for chapter leaders.
The Central Iowa ASTD chapter's goal is to engage members by providing programs to support personal and professional development growth. Our mission is simple – focus on the Member Experience. Our goal is to increase member engagement throughout the entire year and to understand what membership needs and wants, then deliver it.
