Best Practices in Strategic Alignment of Training Programs
In 1000 words or less, describe the process and reporting tools your organization uses to link learning to organizational goals and objectives. Describe how decisions about learning and performance initiatives are made in your organization: determination of need, selection of approach, design, development, and implementation. Identify the steps you take to offer tailored solution to meet the unique needs of different areas of the organization. Provide evidence and metrics to support statements of impact.
Award Category #2: Impact to Business
Best Practices in Demonstration of Impact to the Business through Evaluation and ROI
In 1000 words or less, describe the processes or systems and tools that you use to measure and report on the activities and impact of the learning function across the organization. Include how you communicate the results beyond the learning function and into the business. Describe the process you use to analyze the above evaluation approaches and steps you take to make appropriate changes. Describe the techniques used to ensure learning is applied back on the job. Provide evidence and metrics to support statements of impact.
Award Category #3: Coaching and Mentoring Programs
Best Practices with Effective Coaching / Mentoring programs
In 1000 words or less, describe a coaching/mentoring solution initiative that the learning function contributed to. Include information on how staff from the learning function were involved, what the impact of the initiative was on performance (individual and/or organizational), how that impact was measured (include evidence of results), and (if appropriate) how learning activities were integrated with the coaching/mentoring solution.
Award Category #4: Innovative Training Solution
Best Practices in Using Innovative Training Techniques
In 1000 words or less, describe your organization’s most innovative learning initiative (including need and link to business goals, the audience, design, and implementation) implemented. If fully implemented, provide evidence and metrics of impact. If early in implementation, provide initial results and anticipated impact. If you used technology, describe how technology was integrated into the learning solution and how it enhanced the learning experience (i.e. improved efficiencies, improved communication).
Award Category #5: President’s Award
Service to the Central Iowa Chapter
In 1000 words or less, nominate a person who has provided excellent service, outstanding contributions and demonstrated a continuing commitment to the Central Iowa Chapter. Specific descriptions or demonstrative examples of these three areas are required to be considered. The nominated person must be a member of the Central Iowa Chapter.
